Hiring Manager Seats

The streamlined way to bring decision makers directly into your recruitment process.

Note: Hiring Manager seats are currently only available for Business plan users.

Hiring Manager Overview

Unlike regular seats, Hiring Managers have view-only access to Juicebox and can only see the projects and shortlists shared directly with them.

Users frequently like to use a Hiring Manager seat in order to:

  • Share and review candidate profiles
  • Leave feedback or notes
  • Approve/reject candidates
  • Prioritize candidates for outreach

Assigning a Hiring Manager Seat

To add a Hiring Manager to your team’s account, please:

  1. Navigate to your account settings (bottom left), and click on Team Members under Organization
  2. Put in the email address of the HM you would like to invite and select “Hiring Manager” from the dropdown
  3. Click Send Invite!

Requesting a Review

A key part of the Hiring Manager workflow is sending candidates to a Hiring Manager for review. The process to request a review from a Hiring Manager, and the actual Hiring Manager workflow is outlined below.

Before proceeding, ensure you have added candidates to your project’s shortlist. If you haven't, please refer to the Shortlist Profiles article here. Once your shortlist is ready, follow the steps below.

Requesting a Review

To share a profile(s) with a Hiring Manager, go to your project’s shortlist and select the profiles you want the Hiring Manager to review. Then click Actions and select Request Review from the dropdown.

Tip: You can invite multiple hiring managers for the same shortlist if needed, ensuring a comprehensive review process.

Reviewing Requested Profiles

As the Hiring Manager, you will receive an email every time a team member has requested your review. From the email, you can select Review Profiles which will redirect you to the project’s shortlist where you can begin your review process.

Once redirected to the shortlist, select Start Review (top right corner) to begin.

For each profile, you can approve or reject the candidate. When rejecting, you may also add optional feedback for the team to review.

After all profiles have been reviewed, you can select Finish Review > Confirm and your process is complete! The team member who requested your review will then receive an email notification letting them know that all profiles have been assessed.

Addressing Hiring Manager Feedback

Once a hiring manager has completed their review, the hiring team can:

  1. Click the Review Profiles link in their email to access completed feedback
  2. View approval or rejection statuses along with any comments left by the hiring manager
  3. Ask clarifying questions or leave comments to the hiring manager’s feedback directly within the platform

Tip: Providing visibility into feedback and responses helps build trust and alignment between hiring teams and stakeholders.

Sending Emails on Behalf of a Hiring Manager

With Hiring Manager seats, you can add your own email address, enabling your team to send sequences from your inbox on your behalf. To learn more on how to connect your email provider to Juicebox, please refer to the Email Integrations article here.
